Biography & Metadata
Hi! I’m Daniel. I started Looking East with my friend Drew in 2024 shortly after my daughter was born. I spent years prior touring as the bassist for Cydeways and Matisyahu. I write, record, and produce everything in my home studio in Santa Barbara, CA. I named our project after the Jackson Browne album, one of my late Dad’s favorites. As an East Coast transplant the name is both an homage to the music that filled my childhood and a reminder of how far I’ve come, standing on the California shores looking east, and making music I love.
