Asia's most successful Hip Hop Rock band, Pop Shuvit's unique blend of funky eclectic beats and hard hitting riffs has seen the band dominate the rap rock scene in Asia throughout the 2000s. The band was also invited by multi platinum selling My Chemical romance as their official support on their Asian tour in 2007/2008. Pop Shuvit has had 7 releases under its belt including 2 top 10 albums in Japan and south east asia. A truly multi-lingual and multi cultural band, Pop Shuvit has released tracks in numerous languages including English, Japanese, Malay, Tagalog, Thai and even Spanish. Besides My Chemical Romance, the band headlined the MTV World Stage in 2011 and has shared the stage with Thirty seconds to mars, All American Rejects, George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic, Tokio Hotel, One Ok Rock and has collaborated with the likes of Inspectah Deck from the Legendary Wu Tang Clan and DJ Cheapshot from Linkin Park’s side project, FORT MINOR. Pop Shuvit has earned itself numerous accolades including 10 Malaysian number 1 radio hits, an MTV Asia Award nomination and a special Achievement award from the Malaysian Music Industry (AIM Kembara) in 2008. The band also recently worked with legendary producer Butch Vig in 2020 on a song Dark Times about the pandemic and mental health.
