Emerging from Toronto’s underground hip hop scene, D.O.V is a rapper, songwriter and executive producer known for his uncompromising approach to music. As co-owner of Hella Treez alongside DJ Chino420, he has helped build one of Canada’s most active independent underground labels, connecting Canadian talent with respected lyricists from across North America while staying true to authentic hip hop. Known for his gritty delivery, cinematic storytelling and intricate rhyme schemes, D.O.V blends dark imagery, street realism, horror-inspired concepts and cannabis culture over hard-hitting production. His music explores themes of life, death, loyalty, spirituality and resilience while remaining rooted in lyricism. His catalog includes solo releases such as CREMATOMANIA and D.O.V is GOD, collaborative projects including Herbie’s Hole with Gambit Ramsay and Hail & Fire Mixed With Blood with Swann, as well as the Death Before Detox series, which he executive produces with DJ Chino420. Throughout his career, D.O.V has collaborated with Planet Asia, Killah Priest, Timbo King, Ruste Juxx, Reks, Termanology, Top Dog, Buckshot, Shabaam Sahdeeq, Illa Ghee, JD Era, Asun Eastwood, Daniel Son and many more.
