ABOUT KAYA JONES Grammy-winning artist Kaya Jones, born Chrystal Neria in Toronto to a Jamaican mother and Native American father, first rose to fame as a member of the Pussycat Dolls. Discovered at 13 by R. Kelly and signed to Capitol Records as a teen, she eventually left the group in 2005, feeling led by God to pursue a solo career. Her journey took her from pop stardom—with hits like “Take It Off” and “Into the Sun”—to uplifting performances for U.S. troops overseas and advocacy through music, including songs addressing human trafficking and supporting military families. In 2019, she won a Grammy for “Let It Be Love,” a collaboration with Christian artist Jason Crabb. Kaya’s music has hit over 2.7 billion music streams across Spotify, Apple Music, and more. Following her Grammy win, Kaya enrolled in Hebrew Bible School, recorded the prayer The Shema, and stepped fully into her calling as a gospel artist and advocate. She has performed at major Christian events, hosted the 2024 International Christian Film Festival, and used her platform to speak out about the traumas she faced in the music industry—featured in HBO’s Fallen Idols—and her experience with abortion, which she now openly addresses to help others heal. In 2024, she volunteered in Israel, working with children and serving communities in need.
