Dida Pelled

Dida Pelled is a Brooklyn-based jazz guitarist, singer, and songwriter with a storyteller's instinct and a playful approach to genre. Discovered at 20 while playing a bar gig in the West Village, she made her breakout debut Dida Plays and Sings (2011) with Roy Hargrove and Gregory Hutchinson, and went on to tour internationally and score a viral hit with "Jack Nice." She's a regular at New York venues like Ornithology and Dizzy's Club, and her 2022 album Love of the Tiger pushed past jazz into rock, R&B, and pop, drawing praise from outlets outside the jazz world and winning her new audiences. In 2026, she returns to her first love — the blues — with her new album I Wish You Would (La Reserve), featuring Sullivan Fortner, Tony Scherr, and Kenny Wollesen.
