Biography & Metadata
Born and raised in the small prairie town of Weyburn, Saskatchewan, Tenille Arts picked up the guitar and wrote her first song at age 13 and has been performing ever since, amassing nearly a billion global streams. Her critically acclaimed album Love, Heartbreak, & Everything In Between produced her first No. 1 single, “Somebody Like That,” which is RIAA-certified double platinum. The song made history as the first No. 1 Country hit written, produced, and performed entirely by women, the first by a Canadian artist to top the U.S. Country chart since 2007, and the first Canadian female to do so since 2004. In 2022, Tenille earned nominations for ACM New Female Artist of the Year, iHeartRadio Best New Country Artist, and multiple CMT Music Awards, while winning MusicRow’s Breakthrough Artist of the Year and AIMP’s Rising Artist-Writer honor. In Canada, she received the CCMA Rising Star Award in 2020 and multiple nominations for Female Artist, Fans’ Choice, and Entertainer of the Year. She has performed original songs three times on The Bachelor, appeared on national television programs, and toured across North America with major country acts. With a new album slated for 2027, her current single “Don’t Ruin Flowers” is climbing the Canadian charts as new music continues to reach fans worldwide.
