Mehr blends soulful textures, atmospheric production, and sample-driven storytelling into a sound that feels both nostalgic and forward-thinking. Inspired by early experimentation on the MPC 2000XL and shaped through years of collaboration and independent releases, his music lives somewhere between hip-hop, soul, and cinematic instrumentalism. His 2017 debut instrumental project Just As I Am introduced a style built on obscure samples, layered instrumentation, and emotionally driven production. In 2020, his breakout single “Painting Tomorrow” gained major traction, earning over 300,000 streams and landing on popular chill and instrumental playlists. Collaborations with Yung Rizzo expanded Mehr’s global reach, with “Still Here” charting on the Philippines Viral 50 and “Run It” reaching the Top Songs charts in Luxembourg. Focused on creating immersive, mood-driven records, Mehr continues to evolve his sound while pushing beyond traditional instrumental hip-hop boundaries.
