Biography & Metadata
American bass-baritone, Daniel Brevik is known for having "a massive, focused, rich, warm timbre.” Hailed by The Washington Post for having “a particularly impressive, sonorous voice." Opera Today praised Brevik for having the vocal facility able to “rattle the rafters one moment and be lullingly conversational the next."...“all with the acting skills of someone who truly inhabits his character.” Brevik was featured on the cover of Opera News for his work in the world premiere of Ricky Ian Gordon's twenty-seven; His arias and duets leave listeners on the edges of their seats in the album recorded with the Saint Louis Symphony Orchestra, available on all major musical platforms. As an international concert soloist Brevik is recognized for his pristine rapid-fire coloratura in Händel’s Messiah and his booming baritone in Beethoven's 9th. Brevik has been blessed with opportunities to sing and perform in venues such as Boston's Symphony Hall, Chicago's Civic Opera House, New York City Center Theatre, St. Louis' Powell Hall, The Vietnam National Opera and Ballet, as well as being a featured soloist during the highly acclaimed Salzburg Festival in Salzburg, Austria.
