Joshua Morris

Blurring the lines between Psychedelic Pop and the underground dancefloor, Cape Town artist and producer Joshua Morris brings an Indie sensibility to Indie Dance and Electronic music. Blown-out basslines, infectious hooks and distinctive vocals define a sound that bridges the offbeat charm of Psych-Pop with the energy of the club. After emerging from South Africa’s Indie-Rock scene, Morris has taken his songwriting and enigmatic vocal style into the Electronic world, with recent collaborations including “All By Design” on Get Physical Music and “Self Control” on Crosstown Rebels. Supported by artists including Keinemusik, Jimi Jules and Damian Lazarus, he continues to carve out a space between alternative songwriting and underground dance music.
