Biography & Metadata
Amani KL 10 found music while growing up in Malappuram, Kerala, and in many ways, music grew around them too. “KL10,” the district code for Malappuram, is less a label and more a feeling or an experience: tight neighbourhoods, voices carrying across streets, and stories shared amongst people. That closeness and community experience shaped how Amani listens, by picking up on small things, holding onto moments, turning them over quietly. Around 7th grade, music became part of his self-discovery, starting with EDM as a genre and downloading DJing apps on his phone. He often points to Martin Garrix as a major influence. Not just for the music, but for how he built something of his own at such a young age and in the way that he stayed grounded and responsible through it. That idea of figuring things out independently, learning the world as you go, sits at the core of how Amani approaches making music. Amani isn’t just a DJ or a producer; he’s been quietly shaping and sharing his sound within Kerala’s music scene, working alongside artists like SA, JOKER390P, Lil Payyan, Sage End and MC Mushti. There’s a deep-rooted sense of independence in the way he moves, no fixed blueprint, just constant learning, adapting, and growing in real time. His journey hasn’t been loud or linear, but it’s been intentional and grounded in where he comes from, while steadily building a voice that’s entirely his own.
