Biography & Metadata

Nick Foster is a multiple BAFTA-winning composer of music for television, film and games.  Notable recent work includes The Twister : Caught In The Storm for Netflix, RTS nominated this year for Best Original Score (Non-Scripted), Sam Hobkinson's Lover Stalker Killer for Netflix / Curious Films, and Sally Wainwright’s Disney+ adventure drama Renegade Nell, RTS-nominated in 2025 for Best Original Score (Scripted). His latest OST release, a collaboration with Sam Thompson, is 'The Balloonists', score for John Dower's new theatrical documentary feature about the high-stakes race to become the first to fly non-stop around the world in a hot-air balloon. It blends orchestral scale, sweeping melodies, quirky woodwind and textural synths in a hugely characterful soundtrack. Upcoming commissions include The Dreamlands for BBC / Sister Pictures and Fury (w/t) for Netflix / Optomen. Documentary work includes Trainwreck : The Astroworld Tragedy (Netflix), John Dower’s The Man Who Definitely Didn’t Steal Hollywood (BBC),  All Or Nothing: Arsenal (Amazon Prime), and 7/7 : Homegrown Terror for Sky Documentaries.   Film credits include Misha And The Wolves, Greatest Days and Blue Valentine. Scripted comedy work includes The Completely Made-Up Adventures of Dick Turpin and Year Of The Rabbit. He is also known for Thunderbirds Are Go, on which he collaborated with brother Ben Foster. Work for video games includes Sackboy: A Big Adventure, BAFTA-nominated for Best Music in 2022.
