Natty Congo Crew

A cornerstone of Reggae in Mexico and Latin America, notable for being the first Mexican crew to record in Jamaica (Anchor Studio, 2003). Founded by Pedro Ornelas and Jah Fabio in 2002, it has evolved from the first local sound system in Guadalajara to a global cultural bridge between Latin America, Jamaica, and Africa, with a presence in countries such as Cuba, the USA, Venezuela, Colombia, Chile, Costa Rica, Panama, Ecuador, Puerto Rico, and Ghana. Nominated in 2013 for the "Lunas del Auditorio" award in the "World Music" category, they have accompanied Fidel Nadal in more than 150 international concerts and worked with legends such as Al Anderson (guitarist for Bob Marley & The Wailers) on his single @Cerca de Ti (2023), also alongside Aza Lineage, or legends like Playero on his single Kumina - Natty Congo Crew (2024), Afrika Latino America (2025) with Ghanaian artist Black Prophet. In February 2026, they released @¡Ay Amor!, a dancehall collaboration with Jamaican legend Daddy Freddy. They have shared the stage and collaborated with giants of the genre such as... Buju Banton Stephen Marley, @The Original Wailers, Black Uhuru, Mad Professor, Los Cafres, Gondwana among many others, their focus goes beyond the musical project and their record label Natty Congo Records, as they promote cultural exchange through the management of embassies and international festivals, such as their recent participation in the Sankofa Reggae Fest in Ghana, becoming the 1st MX in Ghana.
