Solene

A pioneer of the cyber jazz genre, Solene is both dreamily nostalgic and majestically futuristic. If jazz were played in a smoky cyberpunk bar 100 years from now, you’d find Solene draped across the piano enchanting the audience with her voice. She began her career as a traditional jazz singer until 2019 when Solene teamed up with renowned Japanese lo-fi producer Minthaze to create her genre-defying debut single Downer Vibe, amassing over 1 million streams across platforms. Solene later released her first EP Book of Shadows, a unique fusion of dusty boom bap, jazz, and brooding neo-soul with Grammy-winning producer Conductor Williams. Eager to live in both the jazz and hip hop worlds, Solene became a frequent collaborator with legendary hip hop rapper and producer Termanology, and has worked with other hip-hop icons such as Paul Wall, AZ, Statik Selektah and Talib Kweli. Solene recently released her 2024 album with Minthaze “Chase the Stars” which garner nearly 4 million streams across platforms, and then released another single with Conductor Williams. She is presently preparing to release her album with J. Rawls in 2025. Currently she is on tour with Talib Kweli. Solene cites an eclectic list of inspirations, including Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, Portishead, Erykah Badu, Nujabes and more.
