Biography & Metadata

Amanda Favier is one of the leading voices of the new generation of French soloists. A child prodigy, she gave her first concerto performance at the age of nine and entered the Paris Conservatoire at thirteen, studying with Gérard Poulet and graduating with top honors. Further studies in Cologne and London with Igor Ozim and Sir Ifrah Neaman enriched her international perspective. She has won over a dozen international competitions, including the prestigious Bach Competition in Leipzig, where she was the youngest laureate in its history. Her career has since taken her to major venues such as the Leipzig Gewandhaus, Amsterdam Concertgebouw, Moscow’s Kremlin Palace, Geneva’s Victoria Hall, and numerous Parisian halls including the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées and Salle Gaveau. Recognized in France with awards from the Académie des Beaux-Arts, the Fondation Banque Populaire, and ADAMI, she is a frequent guest on European radio and TV. Recent engagements include solo appearances with the Moscow Philharmonic, the Belgian National Orchestra, the Chamber Orchestra of Luxembourg, and the Orchestre philharmonique royal de Liège.
