Björgvin Halldórsson

Björgvin Halldórsson was born in Hafnarfjördur 16, April 1951, and became aquatinted to music at an early age. He started singing in a local beat group in his teens and soon outgrew his colleagues. He got an offer to join one of Iceland’s most popular bands at the age of 17 that lead to further success. He has gone from helping create the Icelandic beat music scene in the very beginning, to singing progressive rock, to rendering country rock, to doing disco pop to working out the depths of gospel music, reshaping some of the Icelandic pop standards to interpreting all kinds of Christmas songs.
