Biography & Metadata

Neev has been steadily carving out her place in the UK’s indie-folk scene, known for her intricate storytelling and evocative vocals. Neev released her debut album, Katherine, in 2023, a collection of intricate indie-folk songs that pack a lyrical punch that recieved four stars from the Daily Express. Tracks were played on BBC Radio 1, BBC Radion 2, BBC Radio 6 and BBC Radio Scotland. London-based artist Neev made a return with How Things Tie in Knots, 28 March 2025. A record shaped by tension, contrast, and self-discovery, it delves into the struggle of embracing multiple identities and the complexities of human relationships. At its core, How Things Tie in Knots thrives on duality—between heritage and individuality, tradition and progression, restraint and release. Tracks from the album have been played by the likes of John Kennedy (Radio X), Sian Eleri (Selector Radio) and Angela Griffin (BBC Radio 2). “With How Things Tie in Knots, Neev solidifies herself as one of the most compelling voices in modern folk-pop.” Backseat Mafia (9/10) “It’s a vulnerable, often angsty offering, relatable and comforting in equal measure.” The Skinny "intricate instrumental arrangements, intimate lyrical observations, and potent emotional songwriting." - Under the Radar "Right up my street" - Guy Garvey, BBC Radio 6 Music "I just adore her voice." - Sian Eleri, BBC Radio 1 "I just love it" - Deb Grant, BBC Radio 6 Music
