Biography & Metadata

Guitarist, producer, composer & arranger Greg Sanders occupies a unique place in the UK music scene, in demand as a collaborator with an unmistakable feel, sound and deep musicality. Equally fascinated by jazz, African guitar music and Latin-American styles, Sanders has studied with Congolese guitar legend Burkina Faso Mboka Liya, UK jazz greats Mike Walker & Chris Montague, and traveled to Cuba, Brasil, Senegal, Mali & Zanzibar for musical research trips. Sanders is guitarist, producer and musical director for Congolese-Argentinian singer Juanita Euka, who released her debut LP 'Mabanzo' on Strut Records in 2022, and produced, arranged, mixed, and contributed multiple instrumental performances to 'al andar', the 2025 LP by singer-songwriter Holly Holden. Sanders also works with jazz & world music artists including BABO MORENO, Kadialy Kouyate, Jonny Wickham, Inês Loubet, Samba Azul, and Irini Arabatzi. Sanders has released two critically-acclaimed 2025 albums with his instrumental jazz quartet Lophae, a further two critically-acclaimed albums with his world/spiritual-jazz ensemble Teotima, an eponymous trio LP ‘Eight Songs’ with Tom Herbert & George Bird (2022), and collaborative projects including psychedelic jazz/hip-hop collective FUR, and Venezuelan folk-jazz ensemble Telajeta.
