DAMN SOUR.

DAMN SOUR. is an Indigenous artist and producer from Christian Island (Beausoleil First Nation, Reserve 30), crafting a raw, genre-blurring sound rooted in hip-hop, trap, and experimental production. A self-taught beat-maker with over a decade of experience, he has released 30+ mixtapes and amassed millions of listeners across streaming services and social media, building a catalog defined by consistency and independence. His music blends lo-fi textures, sample-driven beats, and introspective writing, often feeling like unfiltered moments captured in real time. Projects like “sample poet 2” and “Backroom Gallery Demos” highlight a minimal, emotionally grounded style that prioritizes feeling over perfection. DAMN SOUR. explores identity, relationships, and self-reflection through a late-night, atmospheric sound. Beyond music, his WhereWeStand project in collaboration with Toronto Metropolitan University has been featured on CBC Indigenous, OMNI News, imagineNATIVE, and showcased live across Canada. Still emerging, he continues carving out a distinct lane rooted in atmosphere, honesty, and real emotion. Inquiries: monaguewilliam@gmail.com
