Dami Andres is a guitarist, composer, and arranger based in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. With a distinctive and versatile musical voice, his work explores the traditions of Brazilian and South American popular music, blending elements of Bossa Nova, Samba, Choro, Jazz, and Tango into a contemporary artistic language. In 2017, he won the Composition Contest at the Rádio MEC Festival in Rio de Janeiro with his solo guitar piece “Saudade do Sul.” Throughout his career, Dami has performed internationally as a soloist and collaborator, completing seven international tours and appearing across Europe, Latin America, and Asia. He has recorded and shared the stage with musicians from Italy, Azerbaijan, Japan, the United States, Argentina, the United Arab Emirates, Austria, France, Spain, Portugal, Brazil, and Germany, collaborating with artists such as Daniel Ruggiero, Finn Magill, Edgar Duvivier, Erika Matsuo, Juan Manuel Cortez, Sergio Di Finizio, Marcia Bittencourt, Fran Nóbrega, and Estela Manfrinato. Dami currently has concert and touring programs scheduled for 2026–2027 in Brazil and Europe, and is preparing a new album to be released in 2026 featuring special guest Kamal Musallam, continuing to connect Brazilian musical heritage with a global contemporary perspective.
