Yifei Pei

Yifei Pei, born in 1997 in Chengdu, began studying classical guitar at the age of eight under the guidance of Mr. Dehua Tang. In 2009, he was admitted to the affiliated middle school of the Sichuan Conservatory of Music, where he studied under Prof. Xu Bao. He then completed his bachelor's and Konzertexamen degrees at the Hochschule für Musik Detmold in Germany. During his studies at the Hochschule für Musik Detmold, he studied with renowned professors Thomas Kirchhoff and Goran Krivokapic. He is currently completing his studies in the masterclass of Professor Hans Werner Huppertz at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln. Since 2019, he has been invited as an endorsed artist by the guitar string company Royal Classics. Since 2011, he has achieved first and second place awards in various competitions, including the Thailand International Guitar Competition 2011, International Guitar Festival and Competition Changsha 2013 in China Segovia International Guitar Competition for Young Guitarists 2016 in Germany International Guitar Festival Jüchen Youth Competition in Germany International Guitar Festival and Competition Gevelsberg 2018 in Germany 64th International Guitar Competition Kyushu 2019 in Japan Florida Guitar Competition and Festival 2022 in the USA 23rd International Guitar Competition Homage to Niccolò Paganini in Italy
