Mickzart

The year is 2005. A young Mickzart rips the plastic off the Shark Tale video game and puts the disc into his PS2. As he is playing a dance battle in the game he gets completely captivated by the sounds of I Like The Way you move by Outkast. This was the start of an addiction which would move to limewire and then eventually Youtube. It was on Youtube where the teenager found himself in a glorious rabbit hole of 90s hip-hop which was the true starting point to him becoming an artist. Mickzart had always dabbled with music in some capacity, whether it was free styling with friends after school or making dodgy beats on an FL Studio trial at home by himself. Either way it wasn’t until 2020 when he was made redundant from his first good job that he properly dove into making this happen. Since 2020 he has produced several songs from Dublin artists including Truth and Desire by Qbanaa, Love Letters by Absentee and Movement by Slevo. Mickzart is now making music as part of the collective D12 INC and is FINALLY about to start dropping his own music. God bless. Mickzart is also a junior engineer in Vision Lab, has a podcast called bar for bar with a few of the other D12ers and from time to time is known to play a few bops behind the decks.
