Fanou Torracinta

Hailing from the isle of beauty, Fanou Torracinta is a 30 year old virtuoso guitarist. In Corsica, music, its appreciation, and performance make up an integral part of the local culture. Descended from a family of musicians, Fanou Torracinta had the chance from a very young age to rub shoulders with the best, he was steeped in the style and sounds of Jazz-manouche, fervently soaking up the music of Django Reinhardt. In 2019, Fanou Torracinta decided to create and perform a new repertoire under his own name, based principally on his own original compositions. Joined by William Brunard on double bass, Benji Winterstein on guitar, who are considered the cream of the crop of the genre. Bastien Brison, a formidable swing pianist, joined forces with the other three to create the quartet of the guitarist. Two albums have been produced, Gipsy Guitar From Corsica vol. 1 and vol. 2 in 2021 and 2023. The guitarist is soon to release a new album, La Belle Vie, with his established collaborators, still based around his own compositions but occasionally accompanied by a string quartet led by Jules Dussap and arranged by Philippe Maniez, in february 2025
