Haitian American hip-hop artist Jean~Baptiste is a breath of fresh air for the future of hip-hop. The Tampa Bay based musician spent years honing his craft before releasing his debut single “Better Off” at the tail end of 2020. The release was met with high praise from many different media outlets for its vulnerability and heartfelt storytelling. Jean~Baptiste is an artist with a deep appreciation for hip-hop’s roots who has been able to adapt to it’s constant changes while still remaining true to himself.
