If a p-rallel cut isn’t loaded on your USB, is it even a party? His merits far outweigh his years, having earned a reputation for transforming the landscape of the UK club scene. 2024 was a landmark year for him as a performer. He toured across the UK, including a sold-out headline show at KOKO under his Nevermind banner, was booked for leading festivals and going on to hold down his first residency in Ibiza for Amnesia. Last summer also saw p-rallel join the Rinse FM family, becoming one of their flagship DJs after a 7-year tenure at NTS. Dance music runs in his blood. Despite cutting his teeth in the alternative UK hip-hop scene, p-rallel had always felt magnetised to electronic music – even when he had to forcefully carve himself a place within it. “I wasn’t anywhere near the electronic scene. I didn’t go to those parties. It was bleak out there, because a lot of my peers were all white and being a Black house DJ is another thing. My path was different. I had to go and figure out what the dance scene was, going to Ibiza and festivals and clubbing to bring me to what I’m doing now. I’ve learned a lot, I’ve seen a lot, and you can hear that in my music,” he shares.
