Udayyan Chauhan, known professionally as urbann, is an Indian artist, songwriter, and producer carving out his own space within the country’s evolving independent music landscape. Beginning his musical journey in early 2024, Chauhan initially explored music through unofficial remixes before developing his own catalog of original work. What began as experimentation quickly evolved into a distinct creative direction; one shaped by atmospheric production, melodic songwriting, understated flows, and an instinct for moving freely between genres. His notable works include antidote! featuring Tai Svnly, ilikeuaround with dcmvr, freestyle 2, and VVS (produced by Dhairya Mehrotra). urbann’s music is defined by contrast. Intimate and introspective moments sit alongside energetic rap performances, while alternative textures and unconventional production choices give each release its own character. Rather than committing to a single sound, he treats every record as an opportunity to explore a different side of his artistry. With the release of NEWERA*, urbann marked a defining point in his early career, closing one chapter while establishing the foundation for what comes next. As he continues to evolve as an independent artist, his focus remains simple: build a sound that feels unmistakably his own.
