Wellington Diaz de Jesus (born June 25, 1989, Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic) known professionally as Lington DR has re-emerge to the newest Dominican urban scenes with a vicious attack. Originally from Los Frailes, Santo Domingo, Dom. Rep. Lington has been capable of capturing the rawness & essence of the poor & disenfranchised people of his neighborhood. Influenced by Latin artist like Vico-C and American artist like Nelly. Lington DR has fused the best of these different worlds with his difficult upbringing to become a genuine artist among the bunch. Ever since he was 13 years old, he has been working on becoming a rapper. Writing about his daily struggles and his neighborhood’s crisis, has shaped him into the lyrical monster he is today. Always representing the best interest of the Dominican rap pioneers, to the point that the so-called father of Dominican Rap, Lápiz Consciente has commended & recognized him as a rap phenomenon with the potential to become a household name. All throughout his career, Lington has been writing for himself and other artists to maintain the principles of Rap.
