William Araujo

William Araujo is a Cape Verdean/Dutch singer songwriter and producer. His talent as a powerful lyricist and ability to play various instruments is what caught the attention of Sebastian dos Santos, who immediately signed him to the legendary Cape Verdean label named Mobass at the age of 17. William's musical style incorporates Cape Verdean Music with afropop, R&B, hip hop and Dance. By 2005, the 21-year-old William debuted as a solo artist and released “William 0-21”. With a cocktail of Zouk, R&B, unique song writing and acoustic guitar driven songs. William worked on the production and writing for over more than 70 songs between 2004 and now for artists such as Grace Evora, Johnny Ramos, Nelson Freitas, Chelsy Shantel, Nilton Ramalho, Djey Ramos, Philipe Monteiro, Melissa Fortes, Neuza, Dina Medina, Sara Tavares and many more. He dropped his second album, “Re-Quest”, in 2008 under the new label of Nelson Freitas called Ghetto Zouk Music. William Araujo dropped his third album called "Stereo-Life" in 2014. This album was nominated for best electronic album at the CVMA’s. In 2015 he won the CVMA award for best electronic song. William Araujo released his EP named Verao Azul on 24th of june 2016. Wich had featurings with Nelson Freitas, Grace Evora, Dynamo, Broederliefde and Bollebof. After releasing two hit singles TRA ft. Elji Beatzkilla and Grogueboyz in 2018 William signed to Raçamau Entertainment. He released his hit albums RED in 2021 and VV in 2023.
