Biography & Metadata

What if Lauryn Hill and Nas had a baby? What if that baby went to go live with Kanye West until eventually moving to England and becoming a fan of Grime, Gorillaz, Badu and Buju Banton?.. Meet Lexus P and his U.K hip hop inspired sound blended with heavy RNB, Neo soul and reggae! With “The MisEducation of Lauryn Hill, “Late Registration” by Kanye West and “Inna Heights ” by Buju Banton being his favourite albums of all time, his mission is to continue in the footsteps of soulful hip hop and push this sound within the UK scene whilst adding a sprinkle of that Caribbean essence that represents his roots. His song-writing displayed on his most recent EP release "Lex Education", incorporates interesting concepts with intricate story telling, tackling and dissecting serious topics whilst cleverly managing to add a touch of humour! The bass guitar is an important weapon of choice! He’s trained in Mixed Martial Arts and a direct quote from “Lexus P” or as he often goes by “Lex” is as follows: “I approach my music like Bruce Lee approaches martial arts! Bruce is one of the most famous original mix martial artists in the sense that he spent decades learning multiple disciplines in order to absorb what was useful, discard what was not and add what was uniquely his own. That’s exactly how I think when drawing inspiration for my own music creation rather than trying to stick within rigid genre, style or expected parameters!” Keep your eye on Bristol’s Kick Boxing Wordsmith!
