Indian Ocean

Indian Ocean is one of India's most pioneering folk fusion bands, crafting a distinctive blend of Indian traditional music with rock, jazz, and global influences since 1990. Over three decades, they have built a sound that is entirely their own — deeply rooted in tradition yet constantly evolving. Their discography is a testament to their artistry, with critically acclaimed albums like Kandisa, Jhini, and Desert Rain earning them a devoted following and a permanent place in Indian music history. Their music has also found a powerful presence in cinema, with iconic films like Anurag Kashyap's Black Friday and the award-winning Masaan featuring their work. The band's contributions have been recognized with prestigious honours including the MTV Immies Award for Best Rock Album and the GIMA Award for Best Fusion Album. Today, Indian Ocean remains as vibrant and active as ever, constantly touring across the country and delivering the deeply immersive live experience they are so beloved for.
