MORGENSHTERN is one of the most popular Russian-speaking artists of his generation. He first broke out with “easy rap” parodies before launching his own music with a genre-deconstructing edge. In 2020, he staged a unique format: ЛЕГЕНДАРНАЯ ПЫЛЬ was recorded live in seven days, making the act of creation part of the postmodern art and cementing his reputation as an artist who rewrites the rules at his own pace. By 2021, MILLION DOLLAR: HAPPINESS and MILLION DOLLAR: BUSINESS captured his split-screen persona—the trickster and the hitmaker—pushing his grotesque, hyper-luxury archetype to its limit. As scrutiny grew, he continued his career outside of Russia and later spoke openly about psychological strain and addiction, which fed into the dark, multilayered project LAST ONE. In 2024 he entered rehabilitation and reframed his next chapter around recovery and spiritual searching—an inflection point that led to ALISHER a short, rock-leaning, deliberately intimate release that repositions MORGENSHTERN not as a mask to serve, but as an instrument to control.
