State of Us

Formed in Bergen, Norway, State of Us creates music that blends indie pop sensibilities with melodic pop rock drive. Known for their relatable themes, lush instrumentation, and memorable choruses, the band continues to carve out a distinctive sound rooted in authenticity and emotional connection. State of Us is a band inspired by anything and everything in pop and rock music from the sixties until today with emphasis on catchy melodies. The lyrics are based on, more or less, true stories and deals with the joys and struggles of human relations and interactions. State of Us released their first single «Beautiful» in February 2025, followed by their self titled E.P later that spring. So far in 2026, they’ve released two singles; «Adore» and «Wish». Please check out their latest single; «Pretenders». «Pretenders» is inspired by one of those beautiful nights at Bergenfest - a music festival in our native town of Bergen. Those cold, crisp nights that we call summer. Always a great time to catch up with old friends and maybe meet some new ones. The lyrics reflects upon the feeling of togetherness, freedom and escapism that those nights offer.
