Bliss

BLISS is the sonic partnership of Danish composers Marc-George Andersen and Steffen Aaskoven. For more than two decades, the duo has been one of Scandinavia's defining names in chillout and cinematic downtempo, creating a unique blend of ambient, pop and classical music—somewhere between the sophistication of Sade and the atmospheric depth of Massive Attack. Their music has become part of the global soundtrack of the chillout generation through appearances on the legendary Café del Mar and Buddha-Bar compilations and more than 300 compilations worldwide. Their signature song, "Kissing", was featured in the iconic balcony scene between Carrie Bradshaw and Mr. Big in Sex and the City: The Movie and has since appeared on Netflix and Moving Art. "Wish You Were Here" has been streamed more than 21 million times on YouTube and has become a song many turn to in moments of love, remembrance and loss. BLISS's music has also appeared in Disney's Wings of Life, narrated by Meryl Streep, CSI and Patrick Swayze's final film, Powder Blue. The duo has collaborated with artists including Boy George, Sophie Barker (Zero 7), Ane Brun and Lisbeth Scott, and recorded with both the Prague Symphony Orchestra and the Danish National Symphony Orchestra.
