Biography & Metadata

Rena Angel is a Brooklyn-born singer-songwriter whose music feels like a confession whispered at a party. Soft, emotional, and impossible to forget. Blending pop, indie and alt-leaning singer-songwriter influences, Rena’s sound lives in a poetic and melancholic universe…but covered in glitter. Her songs are lullabies for the heartbroken, dressed in dreamy textures and raw lyrics that hit like journal entries. She writes from the in-between moments. Voice memos in the middle of the night, quiet heartbreaks you don’t talk about, the conversations that live in your head long after they’re over. “I’ve always been obsessed with the idea of love,” she says. “The overly romantic, idealized version. It got my heart broken more times than I’d like to admit.” Rena started writing music as a way to say the things she couldn’t out loud. Whether it’s coming up with lyrics at 2am while lying in her driveway staring at the stars, or pulling a lyric from a fight she lost but emotionally won, her songs always find beauty in the emotional mess. “I don’t really believe in regrets,” she says. “I believe in rerouting them.” She wants to keep making songs that feel intimate, honest and universal. In a world that moves fast, her music reminds you to feel something, even if it’s quiet.
