My name is Ali. I’ve been making music for a living for as long as I can remember. I love it — but I’ve always wondered if I’m actually good enough to call it my purpose. Maybe it was never just about music, but more about a deep need for love and attention. With my Soul/Pop band AudioDamn!, we signed a major-label deal, moved to L.A., toured the U.S., and hit the Billboard charts. Then it all collapsed. Broke and defeated by the music industry, I lost my long-term girlfriend - while I became a father with someone I’d just met. I released chill house under names like Jane Good, Portugal Sunset, Little Venice, and MNTN RVR. I also started a label meant to be a social business. That failed too. But somehow I racked up over 100 million streams. Some call that success. I don’t know. Compared to others my age, I feel like I’ve failed. This project is about radical authenticity and a blurry memory - the feeling that life is meant to be insanely beautiful. That there’s a state of peace and alignment. I've only found it for short moments so far, but I feel it’s out there and it's meant to stay. After leaving most of my projects behind, with this new alias I'm accompanying that "bigger mission" with my chill-house songs. Pretty messed up, don’t know what I’m good at, and probably too honest.
