Ferruccio Gadani

Ferruccio Gadani is an Italian percussionist who began his musical path in the late 1990s after an earlier career as a molecular biologist in Italy, the USA, and Switzerland. He studied Afro-Cuban percussion with musicians from Cuba and the USA, training at the Conservatorio de Matanzas (Cuba), the Harbor Conservatory in New York with Louis Bauzo (Tito Puente Orchestra), and with Cuban percussionists Jorge Alfonso Perez (Rakachan) and Pedro Pablo Rodriguez Mireles (Chucho Valdés, Omara Portuondo). From 2006 to 2012, he played congas with Cocinando Latin Jazz in Switzerland alongside Caryl Baker, Cédric Bovet, and Lucien Bovet. Between 2019 and 2023, he performed regularly with bassist Marc Buronfosse in trio and quartet formats in Paros, Greece, and also appeared as a guest musician with the Franco Ambrosetti Quintet. In 2025, he joined the ensemble Franco Ambrosetti & Friends (Paros). In 2022, Ferruccio and Marc Buronfosse founded the B4G Quintet and recorded the album Confluence (Arts Culture Europe): https://bfan.link/confluence-b4g In 2025, he co-produced SPACETIME (Arts Culture Europe – https://bfan-link/spacetime-1), the debut album by The Sound of Paros, a collective of musicians and artists from France, Greece, Italy, and Switzerland. The album is a cross-cultural journey inspired by the island, blending jazz, electronic music, Mediterranean colors, and poetry.
