Joe Snow is a Leeds-born rapper and one of the founding members of the UK hip-hop crew Defenders Of Style , now based in Melbourne, Australia. Known for his dark, boom-bap-inspired sound and sharp lyricism, Joe has carved out a distinctive voice in the underground scene. His work with Defenders of Style—particularly on projects like The Death of Meaning —showcases his dense rhyme schemes, gritty storytelling, and deep-rooted authenticity. Joe’s music reflects a turbulent personal journey, shaped by neurodivergence, addiction, grief, and eventual transformation. After relocating to Melbourne, he turned his life around, signing with Pang Productions, becoming a youth mentor and advocate for artists living with disabilities while continuing to release deeply personal music—most recently the album Elephants and the single “ David Letterman .” Whether spitting over psychedelic beats or stripped-back production, Joe Snow’s work remains powerful, poetic, and grounded in real-life experience.
