Biography & Metadata
Forged in the fires of quixotic ambition; tempered in the ruthless grind of urban chagrin. The seed of Rainy Day Manual is germinated by one thought, "To make others happy, you must first make yourself happy." Formed in Memphis, Tennessee, Rainy Day Manual split front man duties between writers Seth Hendricks (This Is Goodbye, Fireworks Over London, Petty Gene) who brought the lead guitar and keys, and Chris Faulkner (Antique Curtains) with dazzling guitars and effects to thicken the sound. The pair wrote complimentary songs that played well off of each other. The rhythm section was rounded off with Keith Pounds (Petty Gene, Brennan Whalen and the River Rats) on bass, also contributing backing vocals, and Preston Ross (Hittin' Jim) with his knack for a groove on drums and percussion. With the songs featuring thick harmonies, soaring melodies, and a highly dynamic rhythm section, RDM was quickly garnering local success and had the potential to break into a modern rock alternative band on a larger scale. The group was formed sometime in 2007 but unfortunately disbanded in 2011 due to conflicting life events between the members.
