IDEGO (pronounced like “id” and “ego”) is a Nashville-born Christian hip-hop artist and producer blending sharp lyricism, modern rap textures, and unapologetic faith. A member of the 2026 Rapzilla Freshmen Class, he represents a new wave of artists proving strong faith and formidable skill can coexist. His debut single “Pray Some” sets the tone—conviction-filled bars over woozy production, centered on staying prayed up through life’s pressures. For IDEGO, the music isn’t just inspirational—it’s worship. Raised in a music-driven household, his father worked closely with TobyMac during the early days of Gotee Records, alongside acts like GRITS and Relient K. Influenced by artists such as Kanye West, J. Cole, and Kendrick Lamar, IDEGO sharpened his craft both as a producer and lyricist. The name traces back to an AP Psychology lesson on the tension between instinct and conscience—a duality reflected in his music. A Commercial Music graduate of Samford University, IDEGO is carving a lane where worship sounds competitive, current, and built to last.
