The characters portrayed are determined by suggestions from viewers placed in the comments sections of the channel's videos. The ERB team conducts meticulous research in order to glean obscure details to use as references in the lyrics and are known for having pushed the quality of digital video to new heights even in the early stages of the YouTube era. The channel currently has over 14.8 million subscribers and over 4 billion total video views and has been nominated for numerous awards including the Emmys in 2016 & 2017.
