For more than 40 years Anne Clark has held a unique place in the contemporary music scene and beyond. Combining literary, socially engaged texts with innovative and genre-breaking music, she has covered every kind of style. From pioneering electronic collaborations in the 80s with English musician David Harrow, to folk-inspired interpretations of Rainer Maria Rilke’s poetry with Martyn Bates, performances with the Leipzig Philharmonic Orchestra, to joining forces with DJ Solomun, she covers every style, every decade in her own unique way. In 2021 'SYNAESTHESIA - Anne Clark Classics Reworked' was released. 14 of Anne’s best known tracks reworked and reinterpreted by some of the most significant musicians around right now. This eclectic and exciting album once again shows the inspiration that Anne Clark has provided to generation after generation of musicians and those who search for a deeper meaning in the all too often fickle world of the music business. In July 2022 after the shocking events unleashed upon Ukraine, Anne released a charity single Mriya - An Ode To Ukraine collaborating with band musicians Justin Ciuche and Jan Michael Engel and Ukrainian film maker, Jurko Marrow. In August 2022 the album ‘Borderland - Found music for a lost world’ (Stockfisch Records) was released, an intimate and intense recording of material written during Anne’s illness and recovery as well as interpretations of poems by W.B. Yeats and Mary Coleridge.
