Saleeha

"Saleeha, a Melbourne-based experimental outfit, has released a new four-song album to follow up 2018's Come Wander Through the Pale Dark. Keep Fire builds on the project's ambient drone sound and existentialist themes with four songs, the majority of which are lengthy, vast, and ethereal. Hounds is a powerful opening to the album's near-transcendental gloom, and it comes with a notable post rock bend and a lot of tenacity, all masterfully incorporated into the mesmerizing atmospherics. Combining the desert-like stability and imposingness of Earth, the deep, iconic darkness of Swans, and the experimentalism of Sunn O))), Saleeha creates something equally diverse and strange, yet, genuinely warm." - Destroy//Exist (2022). "Saleeha aurally paints with a deep river of tracks that are pretty well-heated, the sentience oft provided by borderline-Earth-style, wall-of-sound guitars. The thing that sells the proceedings is that careful placement of a lost voice, behind a drone-veil." - Popdose (2018).
