Oona

With an intrinsic ability to romanticize complicated people, tangible places, and fleeting moments, Oona creates nature-rooted indie pop that lives in the space between longing and possibility. Her music explores the endless magic of almosts through free-flowing, wandering melodies, tapping into the songwriting acumen of artists like Gracie Abrams or Kacey Musgraves, coupled with an earthy groundedness all her own.  Now, she’s officially introduced herself with her debut single, "Flight Risk," an energetic song centered on the thrill of pursuit, which marks the first chapter in what Oona envisions as an ever-growing emotional archive. Oona cut the track on her first ever writing trip to Los Angeles, where she documented seasons of love, self-discovery, and yearning. “This one’s for the lovers of the chase,” Oona says. “We all hope someone will follow us if we leave.”  Like the scrapbook pages and journal entries that often inspire her, Oona's music preserves the moments most people tend to leave behind — the almosts, the maybes, and the feelings that linger long after they're gone. Warm and wistful, Oona is creating a soundtrack for anyone who has ever found themselves looking inward; and for her and her listeners, that means we’re all invited to move onward together.
