Emerging from Long Beach, California’s vibrant underground, Roto, also known as Matt Sanger, stands at the forefront of a new wave in 140, hybrid-trap, and leftfield bass. His sound is a fusion of dark analog nostalgia, meaty basslines, and seductive, bounce-driven drums that bridges the grit of classic UK dubstep with the swagger of modern trap. After years of producing for rappers and singers, Roto followed his calling into bass music, discovering a creative flow that felt entirely his own. With performances alongside The Widdler, EazyBaked, and Sumthin Sumthin, and support from Maddy O’Neal, Zen Selekta, and Zeds Dead’s radio show, Roto continues to carve his imprint in the scene.
