Mike Z is an electronic music producer, live performer, and DJ from the Allgäu region of Germany. With over 40 years behind the decks, he has experienced countless eras of electronic music — from vinyl culture and underground sounds to today’s evolving electronic landscape. After decades of collecting, mixing, and discovering music, Mike Z now creates the sounds he has been missing: emotional, groove-driven electronic music with character, warmth, and a human touch. His productions combine organic house, melodic progressive vibes, deep grooves, and influences from jazz, soul, krautrock, and classic electronic music. Using a hardware-based studio featuring the Synthstrom Deluge, Prophet-6, Moog Sub 37, Instruō Arbhar, and other analog instruments, Mike brings spontaneity and live energy into every track. As founder of the live electronic project MIDIconfusion, he combines synthesizers, sequencers, and vocals to create powerful and unpredictable performances. For Mike Z, electronic music is not just about technology — it is about emotion, movement, and creating the soundtrack he always wanted to hear.
