Betty Booom

Betty Booom is a Cape Town-based DJ and producer whose heart beats equally for electronic and handmade music. Growing up in a family of musicians, she started playing piano at an early age and was inspired by her father’s collection of Jazz, Swing, Soul and Disco records. Those influences eventually found their way into her own productions, where vintage sounds collide with contemporary electronic beats. Blending Electro Swing, Swing House and other club-driven styles with the warmth and character of vintage music, Betty Booom has developed a distinctive sound that moves effortlessly between retro charm and the modern dance floor. Whether playful, funky or driving, there’s one thing her music always does: it keeps booming and boooming!
