Biography & Metadata

EO (born Edwin Onokhua on June 22, 2001 in London) is an English rapper of Nigerian heritage. At the age of just 16, Edwin had a top 20 UK hit in 2018 with his debut single “German” which took the music scene by storm. “German” went to spend a huge 19 weeks in the charts, peaking at number 13; a huge milestone for the then 16 year old! Edwin had originally started as a comedian on his YouTube channel “eocrossover” doing song parodies & skits. After encouragement from his fans he decided to take his career to the next level by making a serious music release. In just a few months, Edwin transitioned from a budding youtuber to a superstar musician. With his first single “German” going Platinum, Edwin has proved himself to be the artist to watch! The shooting star had a busy year in 2018 as he featured UK duo artists Aj & Deno’s track “London” as well featuring UK female artist Amelia Monet’s track “Baddest”. Edwin went on further to release his second single “Tick Tock” giving fans more of his magnetic music. After constant requests from fans, Edwin released a number of freestyles showcasing his versatility and undeniable talent yet again; “Next up”, “Naija to London” and in January 2019 “Cold World”. He gained inspiration from American rappers Notorious B.I.G, 2pac and Jay Z as he talks about the struggles from his childhood. Edwin does not focus on a specific music genre as he is very versatile in his sound (Hip Hop, Rap, Afrobeats and R&B).
