Biography & Metadata

Ipsitaa makes music for the places where the heart and the mind meet. A singer-songwriter, performer and actress, she moves between Hindi, English, and Punjabi, weaving contemporary pop with the colours of opera, R&B and Indian music. Her voice carries the discipline of years spent studying western classical music, but her songs belong to the untidy, beautiful world of being human. She received a B.A. in Economics and Psychology at Yale University and an MSc in Behavioural Science at the London School of Economics, but it was music that kept calling her home. Since her professional debut in 2020, she has travelled from a breakout collaboration with Yo YoHoney Singh to intimate ballads, feminist anthems and emotionally charged pop, gathering more than 330 million music-video views and 40 million Spotify streams along the way. Her songs ask questions that have no easy answers: What is left of us when the one we built our dreams around walks away with them? How do we put trust in our wings after we have spent so long learning not to fly? For Ipsitaa, songs are not mere moments. They are places to remember, to grieve, to rebel, to desire, to discover, to let loose. Socials: @ipsitaaofficial
