Ocean Flor

Ocean Flor is the collaborative exploration between Ralf Schmidt (aka Aera) and Jesse Trinidad. Coming from a background in Djing, the duo's roots are planted on the dance-floor, but they were always eager to branch out and expand the boundaries of their musical ideas. The sound of Ocean Flor can be described as an amalgamation of contemporary electronica and experimentalist pop with a romantic quality. Ralf, originally from Northern-Germany and having spent many years in the electronic music mecca of Berlin before relocating to Málaga, brings his signature sonic craftsmanship. His sound has been honed through years of producing under the Aera moniker, with releases on some of the world’s most prominent labels and performances at renowned clubs and festivals worldwide. Jesse, who grew up in Gibraltar - a UK enclave in Southern Spain - absorbed the rhythmic pulse of British club culture while studying music production in London, all while being surrounded by the rich musical traditions of Andalusia. The duo’s music reflects these diverse backgrounds, blending Jesse's evocative lyrics with Ralf's unique productions, drawing influences from Andalusia’s landscapes and the rhythms of life by the sea. Their visual language perfectly captures the emotional and geographical depth of the music.
