Güneş

Blending electronic roots with R&B and hip-hop since her 2019 singles, Güneş made her massive breakthrough with “Dua” featuring Uzi. The track surpassed 200 million streams on Spotify, earning her the “Best Breakthrough Artist of the Year” award in 2020. In 2021, Apple Music launched its “Rising Stars” program in Turkey with Güneş, further cementing her status as an industry force. Her acclaimed 2022 debut studio album, Atlantis, established her unique musical identity across Europe and earned her multiple Number One Music Award nominations for “Best Rap Artist,” “Best Music Video” (NKBI), and “Best Song.” According to Spotify, Güneş was the second most-streamed female artist in Turkey in 2022. Her global impact was recognized as a Spotify EQUAL ambassador, landing her on the iconic Times Square billboard in New York. Following her second album POP in January 2023, she has consistently expanded her international reach. Following her 2023 album POP, Güneş continues to build on her genre-fluid sound with her latest EP Ekşimtrak. Blending her distinctive musical language with pop-leaning textures, the project reveals a more direct and bittersweet side of her songwriting. Ekşimtrak captures the sharp emotional tone and evolving identity that continue to define her work.
