Vici.PR found his roots in hip hop as a B-boy, diving into the culture through breakdancing and local battles. It was in these spaces — after the cyphers ended and the speakers went silent — that he and his crew would freestyle outside, sharpening their skills and deepening their connection to the art. What started as a fun pastime evolved into a passion for making music, leading Vici to pursue it seriously. His sound is a reflection of the golden era he grew up on, drawing inspiration from ‘90s and early 2000s hip hop and R&B. The name Vici was given to him by his breaking crew and comes from the Latin phrase - “Veni, Vidi, Vici - I came, I saw, I conquered.” PR stands for Project Reign, the Bay Area collective where it all began.
